“Bite Latvija” to offer online mobile services

Telecommunications company “Bite Latvija” is the first in the Latvian market to launch modern mobile service, sold and serviced only via Internet. The revolutionary service “Bite online” will allow customers to order, pay and get service directly from www.bite.lv without spending time in the outlet or bank. On 15th October “Bite online” will step into the market offering the best tariffs in the market for local and international calls as well as SMS.“Popularity of Internet based services is growing all around in the world. Customers appreciate the comfort, price and speed, offered by the Internet”, says J. T. Eriksen, CEO of “Bite Latvija”. “Proven success in Denmark, UK, Germany and Lithuania makes us believe that Latvian market with 34% internet penetration will be quick to pick up the service”.*
According to J. T. Eriksen, “Bite online” is the fastest and very convenient way to use the mobile services – everyone can become “Bite” customer in less than one minute even without leaving home or the office. Ordered SIM card will be delivered to the customer’s address in 2-3 days.
“Bite online” will also offer competitive prices: calls to “Bite” network will cost 0,01 Ls/min., to other Latvian networks – 0,06 Ls/min. (until the end of the year). Price for SMS to all the networks will be 0,05 Ls. For customers ordering up to 4 SIM cards, calls with “Family” service between these numbers will be for free after payment of one monthly fee of 2 Ls for all 4 SIM cards.
Customers of “Bite online” will use full range of mobile services – local and international calls, WAP, SMS, MMS and “Bite plus“ mobile internet service. This service will be charged in a simple and convenient manner: 0,3 Ls for a day, 1 Ls for a week and 3 Ls for a month.
In addition to attractive pricing, “Bite online” customers will enjoy an opportunity to choose the number they like. Payments for “Bite online” services will be made through online payment system available for holders of all major bankcards. Minimal reload is 1 Ls, and after last reload the number is valid for 6 months. Visiting www.bite.lv customers will be able to compare tariffs of other operators’ rate plans and pre-paid services.
“Bite Latvija” won the auction for the UMTS/GSM mobile license in Latvia on March 31st and has been providing its services to Latvian customers since September 15th. The Company has presented the prepaid card TOXIC, offering the Latvian customers new choice: inexpensive, easy to use and modern services. “Bite Latvia” network covers nine Latvian cities: Riga, Daugavpils, Ventspils, Jurmala, Valmiera, Jelgava, Liepaja, Sigulda and Tukums.
