Today BITĖ Group announced that Fred Hrenchuk, 44, is appointed as CEO and the Chairman of the Management Board of “BITE Latvija” as well as a Member of the Management Board of “Bitė Lietuva“. He will join the company from August 1, 2007.

Changes in Management Board
February 22, 2007
Today Maarten van Engeland, CEO and Chairman of Management Board of Telecommunications Company BITĖ Group, has announced about his decision to leave his position at BITĖ. He will have his last working day in the company on Friday, March 2nd. Until a new CEO has been appointed, James J. Jackson is taking over the responsibilities as the Chairman of Management Board for the company on an interim basis.

BITĖ Group, one of the largest telecommunications groups in Baltic countries, consisting of “Bitė Lietuva” and “BITE Latvija”, is pleased to announce that it has a new controlling shareholder “Mid Europa Partners”, a leading private equity fund in Central and Eastern Europe. Today TDC announced the sale of its 100 percent owned “Bitė” to “Mid Europa Partners” for a cash consideration of EUR 0,45bn (1,55 billion Litas).
