BITĖ Group appoints CEO

Today BITĖ Group announced that Kenneth Campbell, 41, will join the company on May 2, 2007. K. Campbell will serve as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of BITĖ Group.K. Campbell currently holds the position of Chief Marketing Officer with Vodafone Romania and is a member of the Marketing Board of the Vodafone Group. Having joined „Telesystem International Wireless“ (TIW) in 2004 he stayed on with the company after the acquisition by Vodafone in 2005. While at Vodafone Romania, he was responsible for driving top line growth that has made Vodafone the fastest growing operator in the Romanian market with over 7.7 million subscribers and revenue growth of 30% at end of 2006. During his tenure, he also oversaw the successful re-branding from Connex to Vodafone and established Vodafone as the preferred brand in the market with 40% of new subscriber additions in the last year.
K. Campbell had previously served in executive roles at Orascom Telecom Tunisie and Egyptian operator, Mobinil, a joint venture of Orascom Telecom and Orange. In his role K. Campbell will be working together with the Management Board and Supervisory Council of BITĖ Group to guide the continued success of the company‘s operations in Lithuanian and Latvia.

James J. Jackson, the current interim Chairman of the Management Board, will move to the Supervisory Council and Martin Amtoft-Christensen, the interim Chief Executive Officer, will maintain his current Chief Financial Officer role and membership to the Management Board.
